Maybe it was dull because you already saw the film it’s based on: Thunderball? Amazing franchise, these Bond films - years later, they do a remake of one of their own films with the same actor! source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Never_Say_Never_Again

I hadn’t watched Thunderball in a very long time, so I doubt that’s the reason for it. It probably doesn’t help though.
